About William J. Urban
Osborne -- William J. "Bill" Urban, 87, died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at. Osborne County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 5, 1915, in Antonino to John and Margaret (Stecklein) Urban.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a farmer and had lived in Osborne since 1958.
Survivors include four daughters, Arlene Mick, Lacygne, Lillian Urban, Hays, Rebecca Lackey, Portis, and Bernadette Karrick, Wichita; two brothers, Walter, Hays, and Paul, La Crosse; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertina (Dreher) Urban in 2000, and a daughter, Margaret Urban.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Osborne; burial in the church cemetery. A vigil rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Clark-Gashaw Funeral Chapel, Osborne. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Osborne County Ambulance.
