William was an accountant of decided ability, correct and methodical in his habits, a firm friend, strong in his likes and dislikes. A small portion of his life was spent in New York City, where he was employed as an accountant. He was also in New Orleans for a short time. He was never satisfied away from home. He was devotedly attached to his mother, and lived but one year after her death. He was unmarried.
