William was more than two years old when he was baptised on 2 Jan 1815 at the church of St Stephen, Walbrook, in the City of London. His younger brother George was baptised at the same time. We learn that their parents were William and Mary Ann Street, and that they lived in nearby Bucklersbury. Their father was a stationer. The baptism record gives William's birth date, 4 October 1812.

In 1832 his parents emigrated to Canada and that became his home too.

Date of death, 1 April 1879, and burial place from photograph of headstone [via Find-a-Grave]. His wife is buried in the same grave.

The Find-a-Grave web page lists four children of this couple but does not include Arthur Wray Street: Sydney Leonard Street unknown – 1850; Frances Mary Street Hutchinson unknown – 1861; Emily England Street 1839–1915; and Charlotte Ellinor Street 1850–1871.
