The relationship between William Warren "the Elder" and Richard De Warren is from:
The Chequered Wallers by Antonia Waller -2010 pages 15-16 (see attached document in "Media")
There were Wallers in Bassingbourn about 1499. The descent of this William from John Warren of Poynton was researched and claimed by Richard Waller of Nenagh, co Tipperary, Eire. in 1926. Documentation proving this descent not sighted but the descent from the Warrens of Poynton was accepted by the College of Arms - "Lineage - William Warren of Bassingbourn, Cambs, and Ashwell, Herts, confirmed by Thomas Cook, Clarenceaux in 1572 and by Sir Richard St George, Clarenceaux in 1634 as descendants of the Warrens of Poyton, Cheshire, who are generally accepted as descendants of John de Warrenne, 8th Earl of Surrey†(see BURKE'S Dormant and Extinct Peerages)
William is in his son Richard's will 1557 & son Anthony's will 1556/7
