Geographical Note: The East Pearl River forms the easternmost border of lower Louisiana and Missippi (on the Gulf Coast). The Bogue Chito River flows from NW past Franklin, LA to meet the Pearl near Bush, LA. Best estimate is that the William West land was in the area of Bush, LA.

Some sources think William West's father was Thomas West, b. 1718 in VA.
Others show it as Francis West, Colonel, b. Abt 1712 in King William Co, VA. Married Jane Cole (b. 1719 boldrup, Warwick co, VA).
If this is so, then the ancestry can be traced back through King Edward I, William the Conqueror, and many other rulers of Europe via Francis West.

Another possiblity is that the two Wests (Francis and Thomas) were brothers or otherwise related by a common West ancestor in Virginia. If so, we open the royal ancestry lines.
