About William, 11th Baron Willoughby de Eresby
The Willoughby family were from Grimsthorpe Castle with their lineage being traced back to the Norman Conquest of 1066. They were also noted for their support for the protestant faith during the Reformation. Their family burials are at the Willoughby Chapel, St. James Church, Spilsby, Lincolnshire. It is one of the churches with best preserved medieval burials in England.
