William Thurston Wingett

Biography

William Wingett was born on July 3, 1922 in Washington, United States, United States. His parents were William Wingett and Helen Wingett (Showalter). He was a Carpenter and is most well known as a Paratrooper from the US Army's 101st Airborne "Easy Company".

William married Grayce Wingett (Olson). Together they had the following children: Richard Wingett; Patricia Dobbins (Wingett); Merrie Chapin (Wingett); William Wingett.

He died on October 1, 2020 in Edward C. Allworth Veterans’ Home, Lebanon, Linn County, Oregon, United States and was buried on October 20, 2020 in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, United States.
