William was the son of Abraham Womack, Jr. and Elizabeth Stubblefield. Elizabeth's brother was Wyatt Stubblefield, who married Mary Challis. Her other brother was John Stubblefield, whose son was Seth Stubblefield. William Womack was the brother of Josiah Womack, who married Mary Massey. William's birth date is in the Bible record of his brother, Josiah Womack. Excerpts: "BIRTHS William Womack, son of Abraham Womack, was born Nov 11, 1753 DEATHS Abraham Womack departed this life May 6, 1800, aged seventy four years"William's death date is in the Bible of William P. Womack, son of Mary Massey and Josiah Womack, son of Abraham Womack, Jr. and Elizabeth Stubblefield.The migration of William and his son, Green Womack was: VA > NC > GA > SC > TN > KY > IL. William and Rebecca's son, Joseph Womack was born 1805-1807 most likely in Sumner Co., TN. His brother, Levi Womack was enumerated in Swan, Taney Co., MO in 1840, and he was listed immediately above his brother, Levi Womack, who supposedly was born in 1812, also in Sumner Co., TN. The census records of Levi's children indicate Levi was born in TN.The 15 Sep 1796 Caswell Co., NC will of Abraham Womack (Jr) was proved Oct 1800. It lists several children, among them William Womack, Josiah Womack, who was appointed executor, Lucy Engram (sic, Ingram), and Nancy Engram (sic, Ingram)In the Caswell Co., NC estate papers for Abraham Womack Jr. is a letter dated 16 Dec 1804 from William Womack to his brother Josiah instructing Josiah to give William's share of his father's estate to Charlton Ingram, who married William's sister, Lucy Womack. William's other sister, Nancy Womack married Benjamin Ingram. The Ingrams were first cousins. Here is the full text of the letter from William Womack: "Dear Brother, You will please to pay to our Brother Chalton Ingram the Balance of my Legacy coming to me after Satisfying youself Agreeable to my Letter and this shall be your Receipt for the same. Given under my hand this 16th day of December 1804. William Womack died in 1820, and the remainder of their history is in his wife, Rebecca Ledbetter's memorial.Children: Green Womack Benjamin Womack - married Hester Ann Unknown. Rev.
