WILLIAM de Vescy (-killed in battle Bannockburn 24 Jun 1314). A manuscript concerning the founders of Watton priory names “Willielmum” as son of “Willielmum de Vescy” and “Devorgule filia cuiusdam reginæ Hiberniæ…Dovenald Rochmaccarti”[629]. He was summoned to Parliament in 1313 whereby he is held to have become Lord Vescy.
