"Sweethearts Forever"
Wilma Barnes Padjen , 78 , our loving Mom , Buba , sister , aunt and friend , passed away August 14 , 2004 after a valiant fight with respiratory illness .
She was born August 28 , 1925 , in Evanston , Wyoming to John Almy and Harriet Pope Barnes . On September 20 , 1954 , she married John Edward Padjen in Salt Lake City , Utah . Wilma was a member of St . Francis Xavier Catholic Church She enjoyed making ceramic lace dolls . She worked for years as a secretary at Sears and also at Travelers Insurance . Her family remembers her as one who enjoyed gardening , flowers and keeping an immaculate home . Wilma enjoyed trips to Wendover with her sister , Donna ; and many other friends . Mom ("Buba") is loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends . Survivors : children , Judy and Duane Rupp , Tremont , Utah , Rick and Carolee Dykes , Twin Falls , Idaho , Debbie and Rick Shurland , Denver , Colerado , Gary and Sonia Padjen , Indianapolis , Indiana ; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren ; Brothers and sisters , LaMar , Orval , Donna Larsen , Bud , Bill . Preceded in death by her husband , John ; parents , grandson , Bradley Rupp ; mother and father-in-law Ivan and Anna Padjen ; brothers-in-law NIck and Lee Padjen .
Funeral services will be held Wed-nesday August 18 , 2004 , at 10 a.m.in the Goff Mortuary , 8090 So . State . Holy Rosary will be recited Tuesday , August 17 ,2004 , at 7 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary where friends may call Tuesday 6 - 8 p.m. or Wednesday one hour prior to services . Interment Midvale City Cemetery . "
