South Carolina By Edward B. Wheeler Esq. Ordinary, Marion District, SC.

Whereas William Goodyear made suit to me to grant him letters of administration of the Estate and effects which were of Ambrose Wise late of Bear Swamp of this District deceased- These are to cite and admonish all and singular the kindred and creditors of the said Ambrose Wise, that they be and appear before me, in the Court of Ordinary, to be held at Marion Court house on friday next, after publication hereof to show cause, if any they have, why the said administration should not be granted.

Given under my ahdn and seal, this 26 day of April in the year of our Lord, Eighteen hundred & twenty nine and in the fifty fourth Year of American Independence.

Whereas to empower you or any three or four of you, whose names are hereunto written, to repair to all such parts and places in this district as you may be directed unto by William Goodyear Adm. Of the goods and effects of Ambros Wise late of Bear Swamp dec'd wheresoever any goods and chattels of the said deceased are, or may remain within the said parts and places, and which shall be shewn unto you by the said William Goodyear. And there ____ and appraise all and every the goods and chattels, being first sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God to make a true and perfect inventory and appraisement therefore, and to cause the same to be returned under your hands, as any three or four of you to the said William Goodyear, on or before the first Monday in November month next ensuig. This 22nd October 1829 personally appeared before me William Ford & Allin Johnson & Dugal Carmichael, who acts for want of others as appraiser, being sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God of the appraisers appointed to appraise the goods and chattels of Ambrose Wise in the District aforesaid deceased, who being duly sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, made oath that they would make a just and true appraisement of all and singular, the goods and chattels (Ready money ______) of the said deceased, which may be shewn to them by William Goodyear.

Of all and singular, the goods, rights, and creditsof the said deceased, and that they would return a true and perfect inventory of the same.
