About Wolf Deutsch
Wolf Deutsch, aka “Wilhelm Deutsch”, was b. in Holesov, household #29, 3 Jul 1801 [witness: Joseph Deutsch], “son of Selig Deutsch and Perl Leipnik”.
He lived first with Rachel [Rosi] Hirsch, b. Mahr. Weisskirchen, 1809. Because of his status as a younger son, their Jewish marriage was not legally recognized – therefore, all of their children were considered illegitimate. Rosi Hirsch died in childbirth on 11 Dec 1842: “Rosi Hirsch from Weisskirchen, age 33, d. household #27, 11 Dec 1842.”
Following her death, he m. c1843, in a secret Jewish ceremony, Frummet [Fany] Fried, b. 16 Apr 1807, dau of Wolf Fried, before eventually legally marrying her in 1852 [following the relaxation of the Familiant Law restrictions].

He d. in Holesov on 9 Feb 1869, age 68. Gravestone still standing – “Wolf Deutsch, son of Selig, buried 28 Svat 5629”. Later in 1869, Fany [aka Fanni] is seen in Holesov, listed as a widow, living with her stepson, Jacob, and her daughter Maria. Holesov, 1869: [pg. 381] DEUTSCH, Fanni, b. 1808, widow; son Jakob Lob, b. 1841 [*error for 1839], ledig [in Pest, Ungarn]; and dau Maria, b. 1842 [*error for 1846], ledig.
