About Wolmar von Wrangel a. Hoebbet
According to Adelsvapen, following the path down in history, this profile belongs to Wolmar Wrangel, till Hoebbet i Tristfers socken, Wierland, som han köpte 1459.
Translated as, Wolmar Hansson Wrangel to Hoebbet or rather to Hõbeda.
But there are two places called Hõbeda in Estonia or thereabout, The one that used to be called Trisfter is now called Kadrina which is located in Lääne-Viru County, and which is in accordance with the reference to the former Wierland County, which no longer exists.
Given that Wolmar Hansson Wrangel bought Hõbeda in 1459 that sets certain limits to the probable range on when he was born.
Moreover, given that no further issues regarding owning land appears, t is reasonable to assume that he spent the rest of his life here. It is also possible that his offspring might have been born there.
It also seems that his wife has been proposed to be Barbara Hobbet. But no references for this are provided. I wonder if the name (Hobbet) has somehow been derived from or otherwise refers to Hõbeda?
