In a will dated 22.11.1815, Wynand Victor and Susanna Johanna Marais, the lineage of both is confirmed [1/STB 18/26.43] . Wynand Victor was a shopkeeper, Bottelary district Stellenbosch. His estate was represented to the Supreme Court as being insolvent 9 June 1846 and finalised 13 August 1885. He left an estate of the order of £1128/8/2¼ with bonds and debts that reduced it over time to £9/10/- . Inter alia bonds were raised against the estate of S Owen to the value £225 and Jacobus Daniel Victor to the value £75. Properties in Stellenbosch included house and erf in 80 Dorpstraat, Hire house in Kerkstraat and house and erf in Andrigastraat. After being advertised in De Zuid-Afrikaan, there were sold by his trustees – JA Bam, JJH Smuts and PJ Roux – at auction on 20 December 1843.
