Hello, it is so interesting reading about a possible trace to YKS. From young i was told by my grandmother that my grandfather’s father was the brother to YKS. His name was Yap Kwan Hong/Thong? That they both came from China together. But we don’t share the same middle name. Ours follows the same ‘K’ until this generation. Our middle names as given were Kim, Kong, Kheng, (i forgot this generation)
Have you heard of a YKS’s brother? My grandma would pronouce it in cantonese as yip khun thong. She says the village back in China is called Zhong-san yuen.
I have only my Grandfather’s name as rememberance, we were never introduced to any main family, that is perhaps we were from the lesser wives. His grand name was Yap Kim Heng
