Yekutiel Susskind Katz - Kohn

As requested, here is some more research on this matter. Jacobi assigns Avrohom 'Koffman' Hakohen as the father of Yekhutiel Susskind HaKohen and says this about the pedigree: "Notwithstanding contrary occasional assertions, R. Raphael [the son of Yekhutiel Susskind] was not a descendant from the "Baal haLevushim" R. Mordechai b Abraham Jaffe, but as herein shown, from the latter's 2nd cousin R. Joel "BaCH" Jaffe; nor was he, notwithstanding the contrary assertion by his son-in-law R' Leiser Riesser, a descendant from Dr. Shlomo Luria, but from R' Shlomo "Maharshal" Luria..." p. 462, 9.2, Vol 2 In other words, Jacobi is saying that R' Raphael HaKohen descends from Rabbi Yoel ben Shmuel Sirkis, "The Bach" via his paternal grandmother and from Rabbi Shlomo Luria, MaHaRSHaL via his paternal grandfather. So yes there is a descent from Rashi.

"Manuscript #2238 in the Bodleian Library at Oxford University quotes R. Eliezer Reisser as saying that Eliezer's father-in-law, Chief Rabbi Rafael ben Yekutiel HaKohen of Hamburg (born 1722), had seen a family pedigree documenting that he was "descended from Rashi", 33 generations from Jochanan HaSandlar, fourth generation from Hillel the Elder."

Hebron Jaffe Branch

A branch of the Jaffe's are descended from the "Or Yisrael", Rabbi Yisrael Jaffe who was descended from the Kalmankes-Jaffe family of printers of Lublin. 

This family was not descended from the Levush, but rather from Mordekhai Zinger ben Moshe Jaffe whose wife Falka was a daughter of Yoel Zinger, whose wife was a daughter of Yitskhak Klauber, whose wife was a daughter of Eliezer Lipman Shrentzels whose wife Dreizel was a daughter of Yekhiel Luria, descended from Rashi.

So the Hebron Jaffe’s family tradition of descent from Rashi, was through one branch of the Jaffe family which was descended through various marriages from the Lurias and Rashi. Source
