About Yitzchak Moshe Brustin

According to his 1866 delayed birth registration,ICKO MOSZKO HAZDA was born on March 15, 1863 in Zaremby Koscielne. His parents were Szoel Leybowicz (=son of Leyb) Hazda and Ruchla Leybowna (-daughter of Leyb) Hazda. He was apparently a twin of Haia Ester's [=Esther Cantor Blankstein] .

Images of this record (plus others for four of his siblings registered at the same time) were obtained from the Lomza Branch of the Bialystok Office of the Polish State Archives. They are located in Fond 420 of the Bialystok Archive. Icko Moszko's registration is Akt 51, year 1866. The images are posted here, with English translations annotated by me.

Anna Cantor Gamzon's Social Security record showed that she indicated that her parents were "ISAAC CANTOR" and "REBECCA BRUSTEIN."

There's an indication that he married his second wife Szejna (Sheyna) nee Anchikovsky in Grajewo in 1912 and they emigrated to Palestine in 1924 (source: Anchikovsky Family Tree on MyHeritage).

There is an article "Grayeve Jews in Erets Yisroel" included in the Yizkor Book of Grayeve (Grajewo), 1950. It was written by K. R. (Khayim Reshef) Antshkovski and was translated by Yael Chaver. On page 295:

"With the so-called Fourth Aliyah wave (1925-1927) [usually dated 1924-1928] , when information started arriving about the reviving Erets Yisroel and the developing city of Tel-Aviv, entire families started going there from Grayeve. For instance, Radom, Abramsky, Bukovsky, Yehuda-Asher Antshkovski and his son-in-law YITZCHOK-MOYSHE BRUSTIN, WHO BECAME FAMOUS IN PETACH TIKVA AS THE "GRAYEVER RABBI," and many others. They were all distinguished by their enthusiasm, entrepreneurial spirit, and devotion, contributing to rebuilding the Jewish homeland." Thanks to Judi Nicol for finding this. Yitzchak Moshe Brustin is buried on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem next to his second wife Szejna. The location is Region: center; subsection Alef; Row 10; number 31. The Hebrew inscription on his stone reads: "The rabbi, Rav YITZCHAK MOSHE, son of the rabbi Sha'ul, may he rest in peace, BRUSTIN. He passed away on the 15th of Cheshvan 5709. May his soul be bound up in the bond of life." [https://mountofolives.co.il/smoil/?id=72489&lo=31.7744&ln=35.2425972] She died 33 days after he did.
