Zacariah Dotson, my great, great, great grandfather was born in England and came to the United States, with his brother Richard, in 1812. His wife, Eliza, was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia as a child and lived there until 1862, when she moved to Concordia, Kansas. She passed away there on April 25, 1899.

Zachariah was the son of Richard Dotson, Sr. and Amelia (Miller) Dotson.

On May 12, 1820, he married Eliza Edleblute in Harrison County, Virginia (now West Virginia), by Rev. Zeblulon Maxwell. -Harrison County Marriage Record Book #1, pg. 123.

Zachariah and Eliza had a son, William (1830-1885) who married Mary Richards (1837-1916). - provided by Find A Grave contributor Esther Eustaquio (member #47393584).
