About Zachariah Vaught
While living in Johnstown prior to the Civil War, Zach owned and operated a brickyard. At the outbreak of the Civil War, the area around Johnstown, Bates County, Missouri was destroyed under Order #11 since it was the battle zone between the North and South. Source: H.E. Uhland 7/13/92.
