4. ZACHARIS3 VAN SWEARINGEN (GARRETT2 VAN SWERINGEN, DAVID JANSE1 SWIERINGH) was born 1663 in New Amstel, New Castle, Deleware, and died Abt. January 27, 1711/12 in St. Mary's Parish, Prince George's, Maryland. He married MARTHA DEVINE 1677. She died 1712.

Zacharias Van Swearingen, the only son(?) of Gerret Van Swearingen, was born at New Amstel, Deleware Bay, about 1662. When he was about two years old his parents removed to St. Mary's, Maryland, about which place he probably spent his days.

He had four sons-Thomas, Van, John and Samuel.
