"Selde Chohodes" arrived at Baltimore on 6 December 1902 aboard the SS Koln, sailing from Bremen, Germany. She was immigrating to Marinette, Wisconsin, to meet her husband, Meier. Six of her children were with her: Chaim, Mariasche, Mojsche, Leib, Neach and Nacheme.
Zelda Cohodes, 79, widow of the late Max Cohodes & a resident of Iron Mountain for 40 years, coming from Russia, died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Max Ginsburg, after a lingering illness. She is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Ginsburg, Mrs. Morris Wolf & Mrs. Sam Isberg; 5 sons: Esau, Joseph H., Louis, Mose & Nathan. Also 2 brothers: Meyer & Joseph Cutler.
