Schamroth Rapeport N. The Rapeport Meyer family sojourn in South Africa. 2014 She was born and grew up in Johannesburg at 44 Johnson Street, Berea, She was schooled at Barnato Park School, and matriculated at the age of 16. Due to financial constraints, neither she nor her older sister, were able to go to university. She worked as a secretary and subsequently as a personal assistant at the law firm, Werksman. Following her marriage she lived in Rustenburg. She worked with her husband in the family business. She was active in the Jewish community and was president of the Women’s Zionist Group (WIZO). When the family moved to Durban she continued to work with her husband and they established a number of clothing businesses - "Off the Peg" catering in ladies fashion wear, "Up and Coming" specializing in children's clothing and Rag Trade, catering in ladies fashion wear. She was a director of the registered businesses in and managed all the financial aspects of the businesses.She was involved in the Durban North Jewish community. In 1982 she and her husband moved to Haifa Israel. She died at the age of 75 years.
