Remembering Tina's mother Zelma Mimms on her birthday!

She was born Zelma Priscilla Currie in Brownsville, Tennessee on November 18, 1918. She had two daughters before Tina (born Martha Nell aka Anna Mae), Evelyn Juanita (1934–1954) and Ruby Alline (1936–2010).
Zelma moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1950 and was later reunited with Tina and Alline in the mid-1950s. After her marriage to their father Floyd Richard Bullock, Zelma was married to a man named Raymond Mimms. When Ike & Tina moved to Los Angeles in the early 1960s, Zelma moved into Ike's home in East St. Louis, Illinois. Zelma still considered Ike her son after his divorce from Tina. She later moved into Tina's house in Los Angeles when Tina moved to Europe in the 1980s.
Zelma passed away at the age of 80 on October 9, 1999 in Studio City, California.
