ZERMA JEFFERY SCHLAPPI TRIPP Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend Zerma Jeffery Schlappi Tripp, age 84, passed away in Bountiful, Utah, May 16, 1994.

Born December 13, 1909 in Delta, Millard, Utah to Irvin E. and Adaline Jeffery. Married Andrews O. Schlappi March 16, 1934 in Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death Nov. 23, 1953. Married Oliver C. Tripp on Nov. 15, 1960 in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death May 13, 1988. Served a mission in the Western States (Denver-Pueblo area). Active member of the LDS Church serving in many callings. Lived in Delta most of her life, was a beautician for 15 years and had many wonderful customers. When Zerma married Oliver moved to Callao, Utah for 11 years, while there had many friends and experiences. They then moved to Orland, Calif. for five years then back to Salt Lake. Zerma was a beautiful person with love and compassion for everyone. She had a deep love for her family and friends. Her favorite flower was roses, and like a rose she was beautiful in everything she did. She was a wonderful example for everyone to endure to the end.

Survivors include: one son, Darryl J. (Arla) Schlappi; two daughters, Mrs. Robert G. (DeLora) Christian; Mrs. Bernd R. (Sheryl) Henkel; one sister, Pearl Jeffery; two brothers, Dr. Iliff C. Jeffery, Jay M. Jeffery. Preceded in death by four brothers, mother, and father. Grandchildren: Mrs. Debra Anne (Mel) Smith; D. Andrew Schlappi, Jennie, David, Oliver and Robert I. Christian, Mr. Scott B. (Jennifer) Henkel, Mrs. Kevin (Michelle) Orton; step-grandchildren, Mr. Brian (Traci) Nuttall, Mr. Derrall (Shauna) Nuttell; great-grandchildren, Blake, Audra Anne Smith; McKenna, Dallin Henkel and Anja Orton; step-great-grandchildren, Sharon, Joseph, Catherine Smith.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 20th at 2 p.m. at the Delta 3rd & 4th Ward Chapel, 197 So. 3rd West, Delta. Viewing will be held Thurs., May 19th, at Nickel Mortuary, 190 So, Center, Delta. between 7-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to service at the church.
