About Zev Wolf Weichselbaum
Nachum Kornfeld, Brooklyn NY, Feb 27 2014,
"I wondered if the surviving Krieniks know about their relationship with Rabbi Shlomo Leib Weichselbaum from Tyczyn? If any are interested, please give them my email. Thanks.
The rebbe's mother was Mirel Kreinik. She had a brother named Yaakov who lived to be 103 and attributed his long life to the fact that he carried the young R. Shlomo Leib on his shoulders to Cheder so he would not have to step in the muddy puddles. I will look for his picture and send it to you. The rebbe's father was know as R. Volf Blenover and lived there. According to the stories I heard, this R. Volf (Zev) had his own mikveh and wore a white beketche on Shabbos. He had a large collection of books and was a gabbai for the R. Meir Baal Hanes charity. He also cared for the cheder in Reishe (Rzeszow). He was a nephew (brother's son) to R. Shlomo Leib Lenczna, whose father R. Baruch was a hidden saint who lived in Reishe. I have not been able to find a clue to the name of R. Volf's father."
