Operated First Washery in Lackawanna County Ziba Tinklepaugh, operator of the first coal washery to be built in Lackawanna County, died Tuesday night at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bullock, Main Street, Honesdale.
Mr. Tinklepaugh married a Pittston young woman, Ida May Evans at Avoca, March 15, 1886, and they celebrated the 55th anniversary of their wedding last March. They were residents of Peckville, Lackawanna County, for 40 years and for the past 14 years had lived in Honesdale.
He is survived by his widow, three sons, Edmu nd, Buffalo; Archie, Carbondale, and John, Erie; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Bullock and Mrs. Ralph Doig, both of Honesdale.
