About Zuñi Woman
There seems to be a mix up of her natural daughters. I have come across information that states that she had two daughters with Andres Hurtado, Juana Hurtado de Salazar and Maria Hurtado de Salazar. They were brought from the Zuni Pueblo by Diego Trujillo to live with Andres Hurtado's wife Bernadina. She raised them as if they were her own daughters. Andres lived near the Zuni Pueblo which he held an encoimeda.
Juana was captured by the Zuni during the revolt in 1690, being Zuni she was considered part of the pueblo. She was rescued 12 years later by her brother Martin Hurtado.
