About William Reynolds Terry
William Reynolds Terry was born 2 June 1812 at Exeter, Washington County, Rhode Island. He was the son of Moses Terry and Sarah Reynolds. William Reynolds Terry married Mary Allen Phillips on 20 December 1835 at South Kingston, Rhode Island, and immigrated to Utah in 1852, at the head of his own company. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, William Reynolds Terry served as first counselor to the Bishop of Draper, and was the first school teacher in that town. Moved to St. George, Utah, in 1860. He died on 30 May 1868 at St. George, Washington County, Utah, at age 55.
Marriage and Children
Mary A. Phillips (daughter of John Phillips and Polly Allen of Wakefield, Rhode Island). She was born 11 March 1815, Wakefield, and came to Utah with husband; died 9 October 1898. Their children were:

- Darcus born April 13, 1838, married Ostin Farnsworth;
- Mary Abbie born July 12, 1840, married William Frampton;
- Joseph born June 6, 1842, married Margaret M. Allen December 4, 1864, married Annie M. Garfield (Ennis) February 3, 1892;
- Benjamin F. born April 15, 1845, married Mary Lay;
- Sarah M. born October 9, 1848, married Richard White;
- Leah Avon born December 13, 1852, married Marlow Andrus;
- Rose Annah born July 7, 1856, married Laron Andrus;
- Menerva Deseret born March 22, 1859, married Willard Andrus.
