About unknown Carter

There were 3 Giles Carters. The Q native haplogroup Q 01 from the Mingo Carters was the one who lived next to Lawrence Plantation in this picture and is the progenitor of the Carter and Dawson of the Mingo. https://www.familytreedna.com/public/carter?iframe=ycolorized. Noted below that the Gloucester lawyer Carter died with not children. That leaves 2 choices. One choice is - - The Q 01 Nottoway family that was chromosome mapped in 2015-6 by DNA Detective's Tushanna Corkern in the summary called Bogue Chitto Distant Cousin Matching Study. The other choice is the Turkey Island Carter Family as having descendants. atDna Study ensues on 1-12-19 ~ ~ David 2019

Giles Carter is sometimes assumed to have been the son of Giles Carter and Elizabeth (Tracy) Carter, however Giles and Elizabeth (Tracy) Carter died childless.[4] Their profiles have been detached as parents. - Cindy 1-11-19

From "Throw the Bloody Books Away" .... GenForum posting of Joy Carter Johnstone of 8 Oct 2002:

I have been researching Giles Carter and family since 1975. In the late 70's my father and I went to Cold Aston and to research England. My father, who was a student of history and it was important to him that we be accurate in our findings. In Cold Aston we visited a church which we had heard about from a cousin who had been to England in the 60's. This little church has a plaque high upon the wall opposite the doorway. It reads as follows: "Anno Dom 1664--Giles Carter the eldest son of John Carter of Netherswell Co. of Gloucester, Esq. his two brothers being John Carter of Charlton Abbots and William Carter of Bressnorton in Oxford married Elizabeth the daughter of Paul Tracye of Standwell and DIED WITHOUT ISSUE." (Capitalization my own.)[5]
