Nicholas Griffin, Esq., de jure 8th Lord Latimer, younger son of Nicholas Griffin of East Carlton, Northamptonshire and Margaret Pilkington, was born 5 June 1426 at Brixworth, Northamptonshire, England, and was baptized at the church there that same day.

Nicholas' wife, Katherine Curzon,was living 1 July 1465.

Nicholas married _____ Ros/Rosse, daughter of ____ Rosse of Sussex, as his second wife. No further information.

He married third, before 2 October 1471, Marine (or Mary) Bellers, widow of Thomas Greene, Knt., and daughter of John Bellers, Esq. and Elizabeth Sutton. They had no issue.

Nicholas Griffin died on 6 June 1482, aged 56 years. His widow, Marine, died 10 September 1489.
