Speculated as Robert Richardson Hensley

Quatie ‘Elizabeth’ Ross was born about 1792 in the Cherokee Nation (East). We don’t know her parents. She was the first wife of John Ross, who became chief of the Cherokee Nation.

Around 1809 she had married a man named Henley. They had one child:

1. Susan Henley, who lived with her mother and John Ross until she married William Shorey Coody who was John Ross's nephew. (see Eastern Cherokee application #1300) According to her half-brother Silas, Susan died in California in 1852; she has a memorial stone at the Holland Cemetery in Tahlequah OK.

Mr. Henley is seen as called Robert, born 1790 and died in the War of 1812, but there’s no supporting documents.
