My father, Horace Jackson, was born Horst Isaaksohn (also spelled as Isaksohn, Isakson, and Isaacson). His father, Hermann Isaaksohn was b August 3 1881 in Memel and d August 27, 2928 in Leipzig). My father's mother, Diana Isaaksohn (née Gellis also spelled Gelles) was born on July 8, 1888 and died c. October 1942 (Treblinka). But my father told me that she was deported from Leipzig, sent to Lublin Ghetto, and killed in Maidanek.
