Ancient DNA

One A2am ancient DNA found in 2020 in Curaçao (I13472 - de Savaan), dated 660ybp, in an archeological context of Curaçao ceramic period (ca. 450 and 1500 CE). This paper shows that ancient ceramic individuals from Curaçao can be modeled as resulting from a genetic mixture between ancient ceramic individuals from the Lesser Antilles (74.5%) and ancient ceramic individuals from Venezuela (25.5%).
