At a very young age, I resided in a vast house owned by Olga Chacón Silva, known as La Quintrala de Quillota, a prominent figure in our family. She not only ran the company established a century ago with an iron fist but also played a significant role in shaping our family's history. The house was a sprawling and peculiar place, even accommodating trains.
It was expected to hear tales of our ancestors and relatives, their names echoing through the halls of our family history. Eusebio Lillo, Arturo Prat, and other heroes of the Pacific War, presidents, witches, politicians, spies during the Second War, Writers, (Los Lillo), (Los Gana) The Writers Matilde Ladrón de Guevara, Rosario Orrego, Women sent aboard the Queen Elizabeth for months to keep them away from unsuitable suitors. A burial of jewels, a cryptic message left behind by an ancestor, 'They will be for whoever finds them.' Secret vaults hidden behind false walls, aunts accused of being leaders of the Luminous path. Even Kennedy's blonde, a mysterious figure who played a significant role in our family's history, is part of this Project. Who was this figure? What was their role? These are the questions that have piqued my curiosity, and I am determined to uncover the answers. I am collecting people, ancestors, and their stories. This is a testimony of a family present since the beginnings of Chile, like many others, only. This story will remain for those to come.
This Project is about collecting, documenting, and preserving the stories of our family, which has been an integral part of Chile's history since its inception. This memoir is not just a testament to our family's journey, but a celebration of our enduring presence in this beautiful country. It will serve as a guide for future generations to understand and cherish their roots.
Muy joven viví en la casa de Olga Chacón Silva, (La Quintrala de Quillota,) se reía con eso. Dirigió la empresa fundada hace un siglo con mano de hierro. La casa de esta familia, un paraíso de juegos para los niños, muy grande, también muy extraña, tenía entrada de trenes, Descargaban madera y cargaban otros materiales, la empresa quedaba al lado.
Era común escuchar historias, antepasados y parientes,. Eusebio Lillo, Arturo Prat y otros héroes de la Guerra del Pacífico, presidentes, brujos, políticos, espías durante la Segunda Guerra, Escritores, (Lillo), (Gana) Las Escritoras Matilde Ladrón de Guevara, Rosario Orrego, Mujeres enviadas en el Queen Elizabeth durante meses para mantenerlas alejadas de pretendientes inadecuados. Un entierro de joyas, con un mensaje dejado por una antepasada: Serán para quien las encuentre. Bóvedas secretas escondidas detrás de falsos muros, tías acusadas de ser líderes del sendero Luminoso. Incluso la rubia de Kennedy, forma parte de este proyecto. Estoy recopilando personas, antepasados y sus historias. Este es el testimonio de una familia presente desde los inicios de Chile, como muchas otras. Esta historia quedará para los que vendrán.
