Anglo Boere Oorlog/Boer War (1899/1902) Duivelskloof Hinderlaag/Ambush
On the evening of 5 August Capt Hunt and 17 men went to the Viljoen farmhouse at Duivalskloof to capture Veldt Cornet Viljoen, who was reported to be hiding there, in the following action, Capt Hunt and Sgt Eland were killed by the 53 members of Viljoen's Commando.
