Founded 15 August 1921 by Father Bede Jarrett, the first Dominican friar to study at Oxford since the 16th Century Reformation.
Blackfriars Hall is a Permanent Private Hall of the University of Oxford, a Community of over twenty Dominican Friars, and a centre for the study of theology and philosophy for lay and religious students. Blackfriars is home to a diverse and vibrant academic community, and various other pastoral, religious and cultural activities.
