We are a volunteer organization of Drohobycz, Boryslaw and Vicinity survivors of the Holocaust and their descendants. Our ancestral communities were unique in their entrepreneurial and direct involvement in the establishment of a modern-era oil-industry in their towns. At the same time, both communities provided fertile ground for a relatively large number of Thinkers-and-Doers, including Bruno Schulz, Mauricio and Leopold Gottlieb, Efraim Lillien, David Horowitz, Shewach Weiss and many others. Since the establishment of our organization in 1946 by 1st generation survivors in the Displaced Persons Camps, they took great pains in preserving the memory of our families who had been killed during the Holocaust. We are their 2nd and 3rd generation. Our mission remains the preservation of that heritage and continued search for information about our lost families. This project is based on data provided by our members, intended to establish a large as possible database of our families. It is supplemented by individual family-tree projects already existing on Geni (www.geni.com). In addition to Drohobycz and Boryslaw, this project also covers the neighboring towns of Schodnica and Stryj provided by our members. ארגון יוצאי דרוהוביץ', בוריסלב והסביבה הוא ארגון התנדבותי שהוקם על ידי שורדי השואה משתי הערים וסביבותיהן. בני משפחותינו היו מעורבים כיזמים ופורצי דרך בהקמת תעשיית הנפט המודרנית. בצדם צמחו אנשי רוח ומעש יהודים בולטים כגון: הסופר ברונו שולץ, הציירים מאוריציו וליאופולד גוטליב ואפרים ליליאן, איש הכלכלה דוד הורוביץ, המדינאי שבח וייס ורבים אחרים. למידע נוסף ראו - https://www.drohobycz-boryslaw.org/he/ מטרתם של שרידי הניצולים שהקימו את הארגון במחנות העקורים באירופה בשנת 1946, הייתה לזכור ולשמר את זכר משפחותיהם אשר נרצחו בשואה. אנחנו צאצאיהם בני הדור השני והשלישי של השורדים. משימתנו היא לשמר את המורשת והידע אודות משפחותינו אלה. הפרויקט הגינאולוגי שלנו מבוסס על מידע שנאסף על ידי חברינו, ומטרתו ליצור מאגר נרחב ככל האפשר אודות בני משפחותינו. מידע נוסף מתקבל מפרויקטים משפחתיים קשורים לדרוהוביץ' ובוריסלב, המצויים באתר GENI. בנוסף לשתי הערים, הפרויקט מכיל מידע שנמסר על ידי חברינו אודות משפחותיהם בשתי ערים שכנות, סטריי וסחודניצה, שהיו קשורות בקשרי משפחה לדרוהוביץ' ובוריסלב. כל הנתונים ממשיכים להתעדכן על ידי מתנדבי וחברי הארגון. לגישה ישירה לפרויקטים של הערים עצמן –
