The objective of this project is to gather and share information related to the Garvey families of North Carolina and South Carolina prior to 1800. Scant records are available for the period prior to the 19th century but records show Garveys in both North and South Carolina in the early 1700's. Our goals are: finding and documenting the origin of these named individuals, making connections between them where possible and further expanding what is known about our Garvey ancestors in and around North Carolina before 1800.
