Hamilton West Cemetery, Waikato, North Island, New Zealand

The Hamilton West Cemetery was open for burials from 1869, with the last burial in 1927. However, it was not until 1975 that it was registered with the Ministry of Health as a closed cemetery and is now protected as a reserve under the District Plan and the Reserves Act 1977. Records indicate that there are 1,659 interments within the 8092 square metre area.

The cemetery is located at Willoughby St, Whitiora, 2km north of the city of Hamilton in the Waikato, North Island, New Zealand.
