YoungHoon Kim (김영훈) from South Korea has the highest IQ 276 (SD24) score ever recorded in the world.

YoungHoon Kim is the current highest IQ record holder certified by Korea Record Institute, World Genius Directory, Global Genius Registry, Esoteriq Society, and GIGA Society (IQ 276, SD24). With perfect scores on various experimental high range intelligence tests, he is Lifetime Member of the Mega Society which was the only one listed in Guinness Book of World Records (also having full memberships from Mensa to GIGA Society as 1st ranked member of high intelligence). In 2024, he was reported as number one in the world among the 50 people with the highest IQ in a major American magazine, Reader’s Digest.

In the mind sports field, he is the world’s first intelligence specialist advisor at the World Mind Sports Council, World Memory Championships, World Speed-Reading Championship, and World Mind Mapping Championship; He was the first South Korean arbiter at the World Memory Championships and Asia Pacific Memory Championships.

As the President and Executive Director, YoungHoon Kim founded a non-profit organization, the United Sigma Intelligence Association for the world's brightest minds, which includes seven Nobel Prize winners. From his organization, the greatest minds in the world such as Noam Chomsky, Yuval Harari, Richard Dawkins, Howard Gardner, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Anthony Giddens, and Terence Tao have received official awards with the winners' consent.

He studied degrees in psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, sociology, philosophy, and theology (Non-denominational) at King’s College London Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, University of London, Korea University, and Yonsei University.
