The cemetery is located in Forest City, which is part of Seminole County, but it has an Apopka (Orange County) zip code assigned to it. A Google map search for 3329 E. Semoran Blvd, using either Apopka (Orange County) or Forest City (Seminole County) in the address will bring up the same Highland Memory Gardens entrance.
Older death notices put the cemetery in Forest City, but recent obituaries often use Apopka when providing physical directions to the cemetery.
Highland Funeral Home refers to Highland Memory Gardens as being in Apopka, Orange County, because of its close proximity to the rapidly growing city of Apopka and the fact that Highland Funeral Home is a member of Apopka’s Chamber of Commerce. But geographically, every county map shows the entire cemetery is well within the Seminole County line and inside the boundaries of the census-designated town of Forest City, whose zip code is also 32703.
The cemetery is also known as Baldwin-Fairchild Cemetery and Carey Hand Cemetery.
