From A History of Marlboro County: With Traditions and Sketches of Numerous Families, 1897 by Rev. J. A. W. Thomas:
"There seems to have been a large family of Hodges upon the Pee Dee. Few families gave more soldiers to the Revolution than this one."
This project is a depository for the Hodge/Hodges family profiles located in South Carolina primarily before 1870 with emphasis on early settlers.
By despositing sourced profiles here, it is hoped that the family relationships will become known as the family is connected to major familes in the region since before the American Revolution.
Clarity is needed in the lines of the Hedge/Hodges family. More research is needed.
