This project is a meeting place for users who share the I-A1944 Y-DNA haplogroup, which means they are related along their paternal lines. According to YFull, the I-A1944/Y15155 split away from I-L338 about 2900 years ago. According to FamilyTreeDNA BigY test results, members who report the country of origin of their paternal most distant known ancestor (MDKA) have the following surnames:
