If you find in our tree a child/ancestor who was born without a reference to a father please add the profile here and list the link on the about page.
In Cornwall mothers were often encouraged to name the child as the father, to assist in identity. Having a child out of wedlock at one stage was punishable with incarceration for a period of some months.
