Profiles

Project to collect the profiles of Allied Prisoners of War who escaped to Hungary where they were interned until the German take over of Hungary in 1944.
A sizable group were interned as the guests on the estate of Count Mihály Andrássy at Szigetvar.
This project may also collect profiles of those that looked after, helped or collaborated with the internees during their captivity, as well as interned civilians.
Will also deal with WW1 in respects to the Hungarian portion of the empire where appropriate.
From this we will develop a story of Hungary in relation to the world during the war years.
And develop the project according. So the description is a work in progress.
