The purpose of this project is to document the paternal lineage of all peoples positive for the genetic marker J-L858.
Paternal Y-Chromosome Haplogroup J-L858's paternal line was formed when it branched off from the ancestor J-YSC0000234 and the rest of mankind around 3300 BCE.
The man who is the most recent common ancestor of this line is estimated to have been born around 2800 BCE.
