Profiles

Familia Jardenil, a family founded during the era of Spanish colonization in the Philippines, especially in Panay Island, is still among the old families to inhabit Iloilo today. the progenitors of the family started in Jaro, whereas during the war against the Japanese, some went into hiding in different parts of the Philippine Islands. some went to Luzon, and some went to Mindanao, especially in Surigao.

Jardenil, reasonably derived from Sp. jardines or Fr. jardin which means gardens, the family is no doubt, of European influence (if not of origin). variations include Jardinel, Jardine, Jardines, and Jardenico.

although it may seem that there are a few people with the Jardenil surname that are known on the society, it does not necessarily mean that the family is not influential. The clan boasts of it's familial connections with some of the well known families of the Philippines that spans all over the globe. Some people may term it as a background elite. A silent Clan, with with a minuscule number of offenses or issues, Familia Jardenil has produced top citizens, who serve in the fields of the Academe, Public Service, Medicine, Nursing, Law, Politics, and Agriculture.

Families who are affiliated with the clan through marriage are as follows (in no particular order): Gustilo, Gamboa, Guanzon, Alfaro, Jinon, Espinosa, Sumatra, Lopez, Vito, Layawon, Loyola, Romero, Simpas, Littaua, Banog, Lapastora, Montinola, Hautea, Gagatam, Borja, Villareal, Sharp, Cuadra, Noche, Angara, Lira, Jalandoni, etc.
