The goal of this project is to see if the Jeffers of Hawkins and Greene Counties enter into a common line with the Jeffers of Scott County at some point in time. I am of the Sarah West Clan and while we connect to Scott County Jeffers, through her brother Charles P. West, I can see no biological connection to them at this point, nor do I readily see a connection to many other Jeffers of Scott County.

We all share surnames in common, such as, Phillips, Hamblen, Lawson, Duncan, Sexton, Chambers, Thompson. My 3rd Great Grandmother Sarah West, she married Osborne Jeffers and created many Jeffers who came out of Hawkins & Greene Counties. They have now spread across the U.S.
