This project aims to gather information about the Jewish families of Mikova through both standard sources and living witnesses and their children.

Jewish families from Mikova include the Grossman and Weisberger (Veiszberg, etc.). The famous artist Andy Warhol's (Varhola) family is from the village, and a film about the subject was made in 2001: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tubcVylNOa0. Warhol's family was Rusyn (also called Lemko in Poland) and this project also aims to determine if the relationship between Jews and (Greek Orthodox) Rusyns was generally better than the one between Jews and ethnic Slovaks.
