This project seeks to collect all Jewish families from the town of Bardejov, Slovakia.
Bardejov is located near the northern border with Poland. Previous to World War II, more than 5,000 Jews lived in Bardejov, however no Jews live in the town today. Nearly the entire community was destroyed during the Holocaust.
The entire town center, including the old Jewish compund on Mlynska Street, is listed on UNESCO's roster of World Heritage Sites. The Jewish compound comprises the massive Old Synagogue, built in 1836 and now undergoing a restoration that will build a beit midrash and a mikva.
